Dr. Hatogai is currently a guest scientist in biological sciences at the University of Chicago. His main focus of research is drug development in gastrointestinal cancers and immune oncology, and he has actively participated in clinical trials and translational researches.
Dr. Hatogai previously served as a reviewer for the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA), Japan from 2016 to 2018. At the PMDA, he was involved in cross-sectional project teams for companion diagnostics and registries as a representative of the oncology department, in addition to consultations and reviews of anticancer agents. Prior to joining the PMDA, he served in the National Cancer Center Hospital East after his residency and fellowship for internal medicine.
Dr. Hatogai received his medical degree and Ph.D. from Chiba University in Chiba, Japan.
